Florida Metropolitan
University began its venture into online learning in the winter
quarter of 1999 by offering five courses on two campuses. After our
initial pilot phase, FMU expanded its online course offerings to
include all nine FMU campuses for the winter quarter of 2000. At the
same time, we received approval to develop any of the courses within
the standardized Business Administration program for online
enrollment. Since winter term 2000, FMU has consistently added courses
within the Associate of Business and Bachelor of Business
Administration degrees, and today all of the courses necessary to
complete these degrees are available online.
